For my Collaborative Research Project, I chose Chandni as my partner. Yes for those of you who know us, surprise surprise. We have always been able to work very well together. We realized that we are very strong in the similar areas but what makes it great to work with her is she is strong in my weaker areas and I am strong in hers. We decided to put a project together that will not only be very creative but informative as well. Chandni and I decided to tackle the task of showing the class something that they see everyday and my not even realize it: false advertising in fast food. I know many realize that sometimes the photos they see on TV is nothing like the product they recieve, but do they realize all of the other misleadings that are happening and the subliminal messaging that is going on as they watch a screen or have a pop up add on the computer? Through many different areas of research; articles, blogs, interviews, and personal research of the food for ourselves, we moved forward with showing the class the deception fast food has.
This project has not been as easy to put together as we had originally hoped. We have had many different technnical difficulties because we both wanted to create something that was new to use to help us better learn different ways of conveying information using technology. As you can see our video is not complete just yet. It is complete but unable to place online because the program we used once it was place on youtube on online we lost many of our slides. We are in the process of getting it fixed and posted as soon as we can. Enjoy a preview of what you will learn through our project.
