DECEPTIONS OF FAST FOOD

Abstract:  Everyday advertisers deceive the general public in general. They have ad campaigns for HUGE SALES but you don’t read the fine print at the bottom. This is also similar with their ads about fast food, what you see isn't really what you get. This video will reflect the ways fast food industry is negatively advertising their franchise. In regards to fast food it is not always them misleading the consumer with the food, they mislead in other ways too. You will see this during our video as well.

Conclusion: Did you know that fast food adds animal oil to their French fries to give it an extra taste? But, they don’t tell the general public what that oil is? Did you know that food gets “makeup” for commercials? I bet you look a little differently towards fast food now. The food doesn’t change because it isn’t like the picture you see on TV that’s understandable, but what are we paying for? $2.99 for something that we eat in three bites max. Through this research and project I learned to see fast food commercials a little differently now. My fiancé used to see the commercials, want the product, go buy it and was always disappointed. When a commercial for the new “2 hand and 2 feet” needing whopper comes out I will not run to the nearest BK to try it. Many of these franchises have faced lawsuits because of their false advertising but nothing large enough to hit the media and make an impact.
